Pedestrian in hospital after serious crash in Inverness

A woman has been taken to hospital after an incident on the Raigmore Interchange.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident on the southbound slip-road off the roundabout for the A9 between a car and a pedestrian on 20 February around 1.20pm.

The car was a black Mazda 6.

The 57-year-old pedestrian has been taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

The occupants of the Mazda were uninjured.

The road is currently closed for further investigation at the scene. A diversion is in place via the Longman Roundabout.

Road Policing Sergeant Gus Murray said: 'Our enquiries into this collision are ongoing and at an early stage.

'We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

'We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage which may help with our enquiries.

'Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1714 of February 20.'
