First things first pick the site depending on what you’re looking for. The likes of Tinder aren’t where you’ll find a relationship as they’re mostly just looking for fun. MFR Dating can find people local to you who are looking for love.

The Profile! On average, 31% of online daters pet hate is when people don’t have a profile picture. Although looks aren’t everything, they catch the attention of scrollers so you should make sure you have a nice smiley photo on there to catch that lucky one’s eye.

The 'About Me' section is the next important thing. You should mention your hobbies and interests here – something in common makes you all the more clickable!

Making the First Move. After you’ve got through the profile side of things, your next concern should be starting conversation. Firstly, don’t wait for them to talk to you! If you like the look of someone, you should start the conversation to make them feel wanted.

Secondly, pick a funny or relevant Opening Line. ‘Hi, how are you?’ can getting a little boring if they’ve been on there a while. How about something like ‘Hey! I saw you like listening to music, if you could see any musician tomorrow, who would it be?’ that way you’re starting conversation and breaking the ice all in one go!

Now we’ve started the conversation it’s time to get to know each other. Share your most Interesting Stories, but keep it cool. You don’t want to scare anyone off if you’ve got some weird tales under your belt.
