New SNP Group Leader Appointed In Highlands

Highland Council's SNP group has voted on a new leader after Drew Hendry's General Election win.

The former local authority head unseated Danny Alexander in Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey last week.

Maxine Smith has now been appointed as his replacement.
