Emergency services attend water rescue incident in Inverness

Emergency services in Inverness have confirmed one casualty has been removed from the River Ness following a report of a person in the water earlier.

Police and Fire crews were made aware of the concern for a person at around 6.51pm.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue service said two appliances and water rescue resources from Inverness attended and the person is now in the hands of Police Scotland.

The Ness Bridge was closed while the incident was ongoing and has since reopened.
