A Nairn woman's preparing to fight other countries to take the Miss Tourism World Finals title.

Ursula Carlton, who's from the Highland town, will travel to Spain to compete, after being crowned Miss Great Britain a while ago.

The 26-year-old is convinced that she has lots to showcase on the international stage.

She told MFR News: "I have always been a big fan of the castles around here.

"Whenever I go abroad, and people ask me: 'what is Scotland like?' - I always encourage them to come up North and visit as many castles as they can.

"There's a wealth of history on offer.

"Nairn beach is one of the top 10-beaches in Britain.

"It is so beautiful, and there's such a great space to walk.

"There is an enormous tourism industry here.

"It's so picturesque - with wildlife including the dolphins in the Moray Firth, and the seals at Findhorn Bay."
