A "serious crash" involving multiple vehicles has closed the A9 near Alness.
MFR News understands the incident has occurred at the Skiach junction.
Police Scotland say the road is currently closed in both directions.
A statement on social media says: "The #A9 near Alness is currently closed in both directions due to a serious crash involving a number of vehicles."
Traffic Scotland have also confirmed the crash.
