Mountain rescue teams in Glen Nevis searching for missing hillwalker Stuart Baillie from Bo'ness say they have recovered the body of a man.

The 60-year-old was reported missing after he failed to return from a walk starting in Glen Nevis on Monday, 20th December.

Stuart was understood to have set out to climb the Munro peaks Aonach Mor and Aonach Beag, taking a route starting from the car park for the path leading to Steall Waterfall.

Search dogs and a Coastguard helicopter were called in to support police and the Glencoe and Lochaber Mountain Rescue teams in the operation.

He was last heard from around 2.10pm on Monday on the summit of Aonach Beag.

Formal identification has yet to take place but Mr Baillie's family has been informed. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
