Motorcyclist in 'serious condition' in hospital after Moray crash
The collision happened last night on the A941 Lossie to Elgin road
A 20-year-old man is in "serious condition" in hospital following a collision involving a motorcycle and a van in the North East.
Emergency services rushed out to the scene of the crash on the A941 Lossiemouth to Elgin road last night shortly after it happened at around 10pm.
It involved a grey Renault Trafic van and a black Keeway Superlight 125 motorcycle, on the A941 south of its junction with the B9135.
The motorcyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police Scotland says the road was shut for 12 hours.
A spokesperson said: "Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A941 Lossiemouth to Elgin road.
"The crash, involving a grey Renault Trafic van and a black Keeway Superlight 125 motorcycle, happened around 10pm on Tuesday, 1 October 2024, on the A941 south of its junction with the B9135.
"Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, where he remains in a serious condition.
"The road remained closed for 12 hours while officers carried out enquiries, but has now reopened."
Sergeant Lesley Morrison added: “Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, to contact us as soon as possible.”
