Moray taxi firm to save lives
A taxi firm based in Elgin is being trained up to save lives
Three members of the team at 247 Cars are now qualified first aiders and can perform CPR and use a defibrillator.
The drivers will also carry a defibrillator with them in their cars to help any member of the public suffering from cardiac arrest.
One of the drivers, Moira Spence, used £980 of her own money to buy their first defibrillator and plans to fundraise to buy another two.
Moira Spence said: 'I probably did this because my dad, he had a heart attack ad his friends had a heart attack as well.
'There's been a lot of things that you see on the road or even picking people up t take them to hospital.
'I just think we could do some good.
'I know sometimes the ambulance service are quite short and it's something we can to do give back just to help the public.'
