Three men are facing drugs charges after police seized thousands of pounds worth of heroin in Elgin.

Police officers raided a property in the town's McMillan Avenue yesterday afternoon.

It was there that they found the Class A substance diamorphine, which in a hospital is a strong painkiller, but on the street is highly addictive heroin, with a street value of around 12-and-a-half thousand pounds.

Three men have been charged in connection with the haul.

They're aged 32, 34 and 59.
