Ross County can reclaim a place in the top six when they face Motherwell in Dingwall - and also make swift amends for their 3-2 defeat at Kilmarnock at the weekend - a match they led 2-1 for a long spell in the game.

Manager Jim McIntyre is missing Andrew Davies and Chris Burke for the match against 'Well, with McIntyre eager to erase the mistakes from Rugby Park which saw County surrender the points.

"The bottom line is that in scoring two goals away from home, you're hopeful of going on to win the game.  The manner in which we've gifted all three goals - but particularly the second and third goals - is poor"

"You've got a job to do at a corner and you're not doing it and you get punished - that's poor - especially because it's been something we've been a lot better at of late"

"Obviously the third goal - giving away possession in that area of the pitch at that time in the game - doing that again is usually going to result in an opposition side punishing you"

Goals from Chris Routis and Alex Schalk had put County in the driving seat after conceding in 10 seconds from Kris Boyd.

But a Gary Dicker drive from a corner levelled the match, with Marcus Fraser's misplaced pass aiding Sean Longstaff to nick the winner in stoppage time.

Motherwell lost 2-0 at home to Rangers and had Scott McDonald red carded - they now find themselves four points off the bottom with Mark McGhee searching for what would be only his second win in 10 games.

Despite that, McIntyre believes there's still a lot of leeway for a number of sides looking to climb away from danger.

"I don't think Motherwell are a side under pressure, it remains very condensed from sixth place down, Motherwell are a good side and similar to ourselves.  They've good goalscorers, good width, and it's usually a tough game - and both of us are coming off results which have hurt us at the weekend"
