Man Suffers Severe Burns In Nairn
A major investigation's underway after a 34-year old man suffered severe burns to his lower body in Nairn.
A man is being treated in hospital after he was burned in a deliberate'' act, police said. Emergency services were called to the incident in the Tower Court area of Nairn in the Highlands at around 10.45pm on Tuesday.
Police Scotland said the 34-year-old had burns to his lower body and was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. He has since been transferred to St John's Hospital in Livingston where he is said to be in a stable condition.
A police spokesman said: Police Scotland can confirm that the matter is being treated as deliberate and a positive line of inquiry is ongoing at this time.
High visibility patrols are being carried out in the area to provide reassurance to members of the public.'' Officers appealed for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
