Man stabbed on Lanarkshire train during rush hour

A man has been stabbed on a Lanarkshire train during rush hour.

British Transport Police were called to Hamilton West railway station at around 5.30pm on Friday after reports a passenger had been stabbed.

A force spokesman said: A man was discovered with stab wounds to his legs, he has been taken to hospital for treatment where his condition has been described as stable.

No arrests have been made and inquiries into the incident are on-going.
