One man seriously injured after A96 crash between van and tractor

A man's been left seriously injured following a crash involving a van and a tractor on the Inverness to Nairn road.

Emergency services rushed out to the incident near Dalcross at around 11am yesterday.

The collision involved a white Nissan van and a trailer which was being drawn by a JCB tractor.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Sergeant Calum MacAulay, from the Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: "We’re appealing for anyone who was on that stretch of the A96 on Tuesday morning and may have seen the vehicles involved, or have potential dashcam footage, to please come forward.

"If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call 101, quoting incident 0979 of 4 October, 2022."
