Man killed in car crash near Loch Garve
Trains were disrupted after one of the vehicles landed on the track
A man has died after a road accident in the Highlands.
The crash, involving a red Seat Leon and a white Audi S3, happened on the A835 near Garve at around 2pm on Sunday.
The 20-year-old driver of the Seat Leon died following the crash.
The road was closed until 11.30pm while police carried out collision investigations.
One of the cars ended up on the rail track next to the road, disrupting train services.
Officers are appealing for information about the incident.
Sergeant Chris Murray, of the road policing unit, said: Our thoughts are with the family of the young man involved in this tragic incident.
Our inquiries are ongoing and I would appeal for anyone who saw these vehicles, who may have been travelling as part of a group, and who have not already spoken with officers to come forward.''
