Man in critical condition after Elgin crash
The 55 year old was transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident on Saturday night
A man is in critical condition after a serious crash in New Elgin last night.
Emergency services were called to North Street at 8.05pm on Saturday 9 December after an incident involving a red Fiat Punto and a pedestrian.
A 55 year old man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin before being transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he is in a critical but stable condition.
The road was closed for collision investigation and re-opened around ten to seven on Sunday morning.
Road policing officers are appealing for information about the incident.
Sergeant Eoin Maxwell said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I’m appealing to anyone who may have seen anything that will help our investigation to contact us.
“We are also keen to speak with any other motorists who may have possible dashcam footage from the area around the time in question.”
