Man in hospital after Inverness street attack

He had head and face injuries after the assault

A man has been assaulted in the South Kessock area of Inverness

The 36-year-old was treated at Raigmore Hospital for injuries to his head and face after he was attacked by two men. It happened between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday, December 17.

Detective Constable Gordon said: "The victim was walking from Thornbush Road towards Carnac Crescent at the time of the assault and I would urge anybody who was in these areas on Sunday evening to contact us as soon as they can.

"Any details you have, no matter how small they may seem, could prove helpful.

"Anybody with information about what happened is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference NN31937/17, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they prefer to remain anonymous.
