A 'fit and healthy' man who says he's been suffering with Coronavirus has slammed those not following social distancing measures.
Allen Topp, from Elgin says he was given a diagnosis over the phone on Thursday as his breathing worsened over the coming days.
The 45-year-old is now recovering in self isolation and said he was not only fearful for his life, but also vulnerable people with heath conditions like his diabetic son.
He said: 'After a couple of weeks of having quite a severe cough I started to become slightly breathless which became more common. I decided to phone the doctor.
'I was feeling hot, but then I was absolutely freezing which is just a normal type of flu symptom. I also had a really tight chest, painful back and sore head.
'I’m not a religious man, but I’ve been speaking to him quite a lot over the past few days. It got me scared and it should have everyone else scared to.
'I just want everyone to open up their eyes and understand.'
Allen sent a video of himself to a friend last week as he severely struggled with his breathing.
His pal then decided to post the clip publicly on social media in an attempt to highlight the seriousness of the virus.
Allen explained how social distancing was not being considered when he was in the shop before being given a diagnosis.
He added: 'It just absolutely ridiculous. People just think it’s a joke until it affects them personally.
'I’m usually fit as a fiddle, hardly ever at the doctor. To see mindless folk doing that, putting my son’s life and also everybody else’s life at risk, it’s just ridiculous.
'Innocent people are going to suffer from others stupidity.'
He also wanted to take the opportunity to thank relatives and family friends who supported him during this time,
Allen said: 'Annette Jappy is part of a church group and they have been praying for me and my family since Thursday.
'She has been my rock in scary times.'
