Man dies in crash near Nairn

The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the three-vehicle collision in Bognafuaranon.

A man's died in a three-vehicle crash in Bognafuaran, by Nairn.

The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the B9101 near the junction of the A939 around 7.35am on Friday.

A woman was also taken to hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed as officers carried out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash.

The road has since reopened.

Sergeant Christopher Donaldson said:

“An investigation is under way to find out the cause of the collision and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch with us."

"In particular, if anyone has any dash cam footage which could assist our investigation, please pass it on.”
