Man charged after death in Inverness house

A 52-year-old man is due in court on Monday

A 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the death of a 32-year-old man in Inverness.

Emergency services were called to a house in Strathspey Place at around 8.30am on Thursday, 4th December 2025. The 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, 8th December 2025.

Detective Inspector Caroline MacKay said: “Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased at this time, and we’d like to thank the local community for their assistance and patience as enquiries have been carried out.

“This was a contained incident and there is no further risk to the public. Additional patrols remain ongoing in the area to provide reassurance and anyone with concerns should speak to officers.”
