Man charged following "disturbance" in Inverness

A 56-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance on Raigmore Estate in Inverness over the weekend.

A large police presence was seen on Mackintosh Road yesterday morning.

A 51-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital and his injuries are described as being 'not life threatening'.

Another man, aged 35, suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Police Scotland say a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson said: "Around 8.25am on Sunday, 14 January, 2024, we were called to a report of a disturbance at a property in Mackintosh Road, Inverness.

"Emergency services attended and a 51-year-old man was taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, for treatment.

"His injuries are not described as life-threatening.

“A 35-year-old man suffered minor injuries in the incident.

"A 56-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
