Man charged following alleged New Elgin sexual assault
Police investigations have been on-going since June 21st
Police in Elgin have confirmed that a 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault at Doocot Park, New Elgin last month.
A report was received of an incident in the early hours of Friday June 21st, with extensive enquiries in the area since then.
A visible Police presence was around the park in the days following the incident.
The man will appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday July 15th in connection.
Detective Inspector Alan Armitt said: “Numerous people have assisted with our enquiries to date and I would like to thank them once again for their help.”
