Man charged after drugs worth £65,600 found in near North Kessock

Officers found cocaine, cannabis and a substantial amount of cash.

A man has been arrested and charged after drugs worth around £65,600 were recovered in North Kessock yesterday morning.

The discovery was made shortly after midnight on Friday, when officers on routine patrol spotted a suspicious vehicle in a secluded car park.

They searched the vehicle and recovered a quantity of cocaine, cannabis, and a large amount of both genuine and counterfeit cash.

The man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Inspector Calum Reid said: “These recoveries highlight our commitment to tackling dangerous and illegal drugs in our local communities.

“We are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the drugs trade and preventing their manufacture and distribution.
