Man Arrested After Buckie Robberies

A 41-year old man has been arrested by Police regarding two recent robberies in the Buckie area. The man has been charged with robbing a 79-year-old man on 6 December and robbing a 77-year-old woman on 11 December. The man has also been charged with breaking into a house in Strathlene in November and stealing property. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday 15 December. Detective Constable Phil Wu from Elgin CID said, "I would like to thank the public for their help with these enquiries. Buckie is generally a safe place to live and work and I would like to reassure the local community that this type of crime is a rare occurrence."
