We've been speaking to the student who discovered she eats in her sleep.

20 year old Kate Archibald is in her third year at Aberdeen University.

She couldn't understand why she was putting on weight - and why her flatmates kept complaining about food going missing.

She finally figured out what was going on when she woke up surrounded by chocolate bar wrappers.

A doctor's diagnosed her with Nocturnal Sleep Eating Disorder.

Kate says the biggest thing she's eaten has been a wheel of cheddar cheese, and she's even snacked on peanuts, even though she has a mild allergy.

Now her flat is stocked with healthy food - so at least she won't be putting on weight.
