There’s growing concern for the future of the Scottish wildcat, after another kitten dies at Highland Wildlife Park.

It’s understood there could be fewer than 100 left in the country, making them rarer than the Siberian Tiger.

MFR News has been speaking to David Barclay, a cat conservation officer at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland:

Seventeen wildcats have been born at the Kingussie site in the last five years, but two have since died.

The wildcat is now considered to be one of the most endangered species in the world.
