Promoter AEG Live decided against running the north's biggest musical festival last year.
It citied competition from the likes of the World Cup and Commonwealth Games.
Rockness, sited at Dores near Inverness, has been a fixture of the Scottish live music calendar since 2006.
It's estimated to bring in millions of pounds to the local economy.
