Caley Thistle fans will have been smarting at the start of the week from any postmatch banter following the Highland Derby, but Richie Foran is determined to get ICT off and running in the Premiership campaign.

Never one to wallow in self-pity or spend too long mulling over setbacks, the manager said: "We've had a chat about the performance and a look at what went wrong. We must be better defensively - and that's all over the park - not just at the back"

"Ross County were much better than us with the likes of Boyce and Curran, they put us under a lot of pressure, the first half was just very disappointing"

"The second half was a bit better, but you can't defend crosses the way we did, that said we've got to stop them getting into the box in the first place"

"There's a lot of work to be done on the training ground, but it's still early days"

Foran had seen a glimmer of hope after Boyce's opening brace - as ICT responded with a goal right on half-time - but he was disappointed that his side couldn't carry that momentum into the second-half:-
