Calls are growing for the Dunblane ace to receive the honour after his success at Rio 2016.

Murray secured his second Olympics singles title after beating Juan Martin del Potro during the early hours of Monday morning.

Among those backing a Knighthood for Murray is Nicola Sturgeon.
