Rescuers searching Loch Ness for 'missing' canoeist find him at Dores pub.
A canoeist, thought to be missing on Loch Ness. has been found by rescuers in a pub at Dores, unaware of the searches for him.
The alarm had been raised after the man was spotted by a woman at Abriachan.
He appeared to be having a tough time on the water which caused the witness to report it to the police.
Police Scotland contacted the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, which contacted the RNLI, which launched a rescue crew.
Following extensive searches his canoe was spotted on the shore of Dores beach, and after speaking to people on the beach, emergency services were pointed to Dores Inn where the man was found enjoying fish and chips.
He was unaware that there'd been concern for his welfare.
