Danny Lee's second round 66 at Castle Stuart helped build on a tough start at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open where just 20 golfers finished day one below par.

"I made six birdies and you always want to put yourself in a good position going into the weekend"

"It was definitely an easier second round than Thursday"

"It felt like I was playing on two different courses"

"I'm very happy, it was more about getting the right momentum going into The Open, I think I'm only heading in the right direction"

"I put some different clubs in my bags today, I have a very, very low bounce wedge with a very strong 2-iron, that's been helping me a lot this week and it's definitely going to help next week"

"I'm just trying to make as many birdies as possible and I'll just stick with that goal"

"I've been in this situation many times before and I feel like I try to play conservative, but I find that's not my game, and I like to be aggressive and I'll see what happens carrying on playing the same way over the next two days"
