LISTEN: Gardyne says Staggies can still seal top six place

But County must beat Partick first before banking on Dundee slip-up

Ross County know they should have already taken their place amongst the Premiership's elite, but now it comes down to the final Saturday before the split, as the Staggies search for a favour from Hamilton. With the Accies hosting Dundee who occupy the final place in the top half, should Paul Hartley's men fail to beat Hamilton, then it leaves the way for Ross County - should they beat Partick - although even the Jags could make it with an away win in Dingwall. Ultimately, a draw does neither County nor Partick any favours. It might be hard for fans at the GES to keep their attention focussed on matters in Dingwall, and midfielder Michael Gardyne agrees.

"You sometimes get a sense from how things are going from the fans, but we just need to concentrate on what goes on up here and how we're doing, score goals and win the match" said Gardyne.

"It's only after that we'll know if it's been enough, but there's no point in us not getting the result here if it does go in our favour down the road (at Hamilton)"

Gardyne, who has netted eight this term, including the opener in the League Cup final win over Hibs, said: "I think it could be a bit cagey, maybe a bit nervy, 100mph to start off, but we just need make sure we're good to go and we're ready"

"Both teams need to win so if we slip up Dundee will be in, so it'll make for a very open game and very attacking"
