LISTEN: First Minister Brings Scottish Cabinet To Inverness

The Scottish Cabinet is meeting in Inverness ahead of a public Q&A session later.

The First Minister is chairing a meeting of the Scottish Cabinet in Inverness.

Nicola Sturgeon has been touring the Highland Capital ahead of a public question and answer session later.

It's part of a national tour to engage with communities.

Ms. Sturgeon met school pupils at Merkinch Primary, before launching the new Caledonian Sleeper service at Inverness Train Station.

Ministers staged a meeting a the city's Ironworks venue ahead the public discussion this evening.

Ms. Sturgeon said: "We as a cabinet have a duty to demonstrate, not through words but through actions, that the government we lead is for the whole of Scotland and not just the central belt.

"We do this to hear what matters to people in different corners of the country and to make sure our policies reflect that."
