LISTEN: Elgin City have it all to do for playoff second leg
Winger Daniel Moore hopes the Black & Whites can respond from Tuesday's setback in the playoff first leg.
Elgin City face a two-goal deficit as they head into the second leg of their League One playoff, having lost the first part of the end of season finale 3-1 at Broadwood.
Clyde claimed the spoils in the away leg, with a 3-1 victory, as goals from John Gemmell and Scott Linton put the Bully Wee in the driving seat. Ross County loanee Kyle MacLeod pulled a goal back shortly after the restart, but Mark McLaughlin restored the two-goal advantage, leaving Elgin with a difficult challenge.
Dan says: "I thought we played pretty well, but maybe lacked some clear-cut chances, and perhaps a bit of a cutting-edge"
"Over the whole match, in terms of possession and balance of play, I thought we were much more on the front foot, to come away with a draw I would've been disappointed, but to be two goals down is a bit soul-destroying"
"We've got Saturday to look forward to and make up for it all, so that's what we intend to do"
Clyde could prove to be a stubborn opponent to break down as, earlier in the season, they narrowly lost 1-0 at Borough Briggs and their other visit to Moray saw them claim a share of the points in a 1-1 draw.
The winger knows that Elgin face a challenge to regain parity, let alone win through: "They're very streetwise and experienced, if they played us at our game we'd beat them very comfortably, they would admit that themselves but their strengths are different to ours"
"We just need to impose ourselves a bit, play our game, and hopefully get an early goal as well which'll be important, but I fully expect them to sit in when they come to face us"
