LISTEN: Chow unphased by Scottish switch into the unknown
Ross County midfielder looks to begin again after Wigan departure
With Wigan's return to the Championship, it's likely Tim Chow must've had mixed feelings about last season.
The Ross County midfielder, signed before the close of the window, knew it was time to move on having been given limited opportunities to make an impact.
The 22-year-old made 11 League One appearances last season, but appears determined to start again refreshed at Ross County.
But that experience at Wigan behind him - and he does welcome that grounding - Tim is eager for his chance to impress at County:
"It's good, it seems like a really great club, everyone's been very welcoming so far and helping me settle in"
"I think I'll bring lots of energy to the side, I'm competitive, I like to get on the ball, keeping it on the floor - that's not to say I don't like a midfield battle"
"I'm a good box-to-box midfielder who likes to get up-and-down the pitch"
Having played in England he admits it may take some adjusting to the SPFL Premiership:
"It is a step into the unknown, but I'm more excited than nervous, I've approached it with an open mind, it's a great challenge for myself and I'm looking forward to it"
"It's a complete change as there's no one here I know, Jay (McEveley) was at Sheffield United previously, but it was a total fresh start for me"
This weekend, having come off the bench in the 1-0 defeat at New Douglas Park, Tim looks to be part of the starting XI for the home game against Motherwell.
"It was a nice moment to make my debut against Hamilton - unfortunate the result didn't go the right way - but my family all travelled up to see me and it was good to get off and running"
