Crowdfunding page raises £9k for Western Isles fishermen deaths families.

Over £9,000 is being donated to the families of the fishermen who died after their boat sank in the Western Isles.

An online fund was set up just 3-days-ago after 29-year-old Martin Johnstone (pictured above) from Halkirk lost his life.

Chris Morrison, who's 27 and from Stornoway also died. Meanwhile 42-year-old Paul Alliston - who's from Lewis - remains missing at sea.

A woman from near Thurso - who knows one of the owners of the boat which sank - has started a crowdfunding page online.

Lorraina Matheson tells MFR News that Saturday's tragedy has hit Caithness communities hard.
