Kennedy Pause After Father's Death

Former Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy is taking a break from the General Election campaign following the death of his father.

A message on his Twitter feed said: Due to the death of Charles' father, Ian Kennedy, Charles will be taking a few days off from campaigning. Thank you for your understanding.''

Mr Kennedy is defending a 13,000 majority from the 2010 election in the seat of Ross, Skye and Lochaber in the Scottish Highlands.
