Irn Bru makers insist drink still "tastes amazing" despite reduction in sugar
The makers of Irn Bru are insisting the drink still "tastes amazing" despite their decision to more than halve the amount of sugar in it.
There was a backlash from fans after they announced yesterday that they were switching production to the new recipe - and it would be in shops by the end of this month.
A petition against the change has attracted more than 22,000 signatures
The controversy has led to AG Barr releasing a statement online as they try to reassure people.
In it they insist the iconic drink will still be "sugary" and that they'd done extensive taste testing before launching it.
