A major clear-up is underway after the incident on Tuesday morning
An investigation is underway after around 30 firefighters were called to an incident at a Highland factory.
Crews were rushed to the Muir of Ord Industrial Estate at around 4.15am on Tuesday morning, following reports of smoke in the furnace at carbon fibre manufacturer SGL Technic.
They brought it under control and were eventually stood down at around 7.30am.
Bosses at SGL say everyone inside was evactuated and no-one was hurt.
Stephen Easton, Site Director told MFR News: “There was an incident early this morning at our Muir of Ord site.
"It appears to have been an issue with thermal oil overheating and while there was smoke, there was no actual fire. Everybody was evacuated and there were no injuries.
"The emergency services arrived on scene very quickly and we would like to thank them for their prompt response.
"An investigation into the cause is underway but the spillage has been contained completely within the site and we are now undertaking a clean-up operation.
"We hope to be back to normal as soon as possible.”
