Tesco have confirmed one of their staff members has tested positive for coronavirus.

The supermarket say the Eastfield Way store in Inverness is following Scottish Government guidance and taking relevant precautions.

This comes a day after NHS Highland identified a cluster of five COVID-19 cases in the Grantown area.

A Tesco spokesperson said: "A colleague at our Inverness Extra store has tested positive  for Covid-19.

"The safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers remains our number one priority and we are following all Scottish Government guidance and taking the relevant precautions.

"We have extensive measures across all of our stores to help keep everyone safe, including protective screens at every checkout, social distancing signage and regular deep cleaning."
