Midfielder Draper has signed a new three-and-a-half year deal while back-up goalkeeper Esson is now tied to the club for another two seasons.
Draper has made more than 140 appearances since switching to the Highlands from Macclesfield in 2012, while ex-Aberdeen keeper Esson is the club's longest serving player having made his switch from Hereford in 2008.
Meanwhile, Liam Hughes, an attacking midfielder from Cambridge United, and former Tottenham youngster Victor Zapata-Caicedo have been training with the Caley Jags squad.
We've had Victor and Liam in with us this week,'' said the manager ahead of Saturday's Premiership visit of Hearts.The lad Hughes has got a chance but we're just absolutely delighted they have shown the enthusiasm to come up here and give it a go.
They are doing well and have been getting better as the week has gone on now they know the standard here.
We have to now assess whether they are better than what we've got. We'll be making a decision on them over the next couple of days.''
Hughes admits his focus has turned to the trialist duo after watching his previous attempts to land a loan signing collapse.

You think you have got somebody tied up on loan but then we find out he has been on loan somewhere else and it falls apart because you can't play for three clubs in the same season.
