Inverness quarry remains linked to Stirling man
Police liasing with colleagues in the Central Belt following discovery of remains in a tent.
Police in Inverness are now carrying out enquiries to confirm that human remains found in Torvean quarry are those of a man from the Stirling area.
Officers are liaising with family in the Central Belt who have been advised of the circumstances, although formal identification is still required and this will take some time to complete.
The man had not been reported as missing from his home area.
Police wish to thank the public for the information they have given this week.
