Inverness man killed in crash near Garve

He's been named as 20-year-old Kyle Robertson.

Police have confirmed the man killed in a road traffic collision on the A835 near Garve was 20-year-old Kyle Robertson from Smithton, Inverness.

The collision involved two cars - a red Seat Leon driven by Mr Robertson and a white Audi S3 - and happened about 2pm on Sunday, February 25 about a mile east of Garve.

The road was closed until 11.30pm for a collision investigation to be carried out at the scene.

Sergeant Chris Murray, of the road policing unit, said "Our thoughts remain with Kyle's family and friends at this difficult time and ask that their privacy is respected.

"Our enquiries into this tragic incident are ongoing and I would like to thank the members of the public who have already come forward.

"I would also like to ask anyone who has any information, or dash cam footage, who has not already spoken to us makes contact as soon as possible.

"We are also seeking a key witness to the collision who may have been driving a dark green van, I believe this individual may have some vital information that would assist the enquiry.
