Thai doctors treating Inverness judo star Stephanie Inglis are trying to determine the extent of her brain damage - and plan to bring her out of a coma.

That’s according to doctors in Bangkok, who have taken over treatment for the 27-year-old following her motorbike crash in Vietnam.

They’ll start to wake her up today with a number of tests expected to be carried out next week.

It’s understood the Glasgow 2014 medallist is now being treated for blood-poisoning and pneumonia.

Medics have also discovered two new fractures on her vertebrae.

Her condition is described as critical but stable.
