Inverness boss Richie Foran laments lack of cutting edge after Kilmarnock draw

Inverness manager Richie Foran admitted a lack of quality in front of goal had cost his team after Saturday's 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock.
Kris Boyd gave Killie the lead from the penalty spot in the Highland capital after Brad McKay's clumsy 19th-minute challenge on Jordan Jones.
Billy Mckay levelled six minutes later, but Caley Thistle could not force a winner and had to settle for their 13th Premiership draw of the season which, along with Hamilton's late win over St Johnstone, saw them drop back to the bottom of the table.
I'm disappointed,'' Foran said. ''I thought we were the better team for most of the game and we shaded it.
''Credit to Killie because the last 10-15 minutes they pushed for a winner which we probably didn't expect, with them being way from home, but they looked more likely to score in the last 10.
I'm delighted with the lads' passion, desire and hunger. We just lacked that bit of quality and composure in the final third. Their keeper (Freddie Woodman) pulled off a few great saves and so has ours (Owain Fon Williams), but I thought we just shaded the game.''
Foran insisted the increasing number of draws was not a worry, however, and viewed clawing back points on their neighbours as a plus point.
''We're a point closer to Ross County,'' he said. ''Win on Tuesday night and it gets us right back up there.
But we need those wins, we need that composure. We need that quality. We need the assists to Billy Mckay.
He showed he can finish if you give him a half-chance and he scored a goal out of nothing. It's a good performance. We're on a good run, take Celtic out of it (4-0 home defeat on March 1). But we need those wins now.''
Kilmarnock counterpart Lee McCulloch believes a draw was the fair result, with his youthful side pushing late on for all three points.
''On reflection, it is a good point on the road,'' McCulloch said. ''We could have nicked it in the end, to be honest, with some corners and set-plays, but I think overall a draw is a fair result.
We finished the game with seven teenagers playing, so that just goes to show how young our squad is, but it is definitely getting better.''
