An Inverness-born swimmer is among the elite Team GB athletes who will compete at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Stephen Milne is gearing up for the international event in August.

The freestyler won a silver medal for Team Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

He also brought home a gold and two new Scottish records after the European Championships in Berlin.

Stephen told MFR News: "There are a few competitions through the year, and some of them are in Inverness and I've competed there. I do like the pool there.

"When the summer comes, of course there's going to be a lot of pressure on all of us to do our best for our country, but I'll be looking forward to it, and I hope that I will do my very best when I am in Rio."
