Caley Thistle are celebrating a monthly double after collecting both manager and player awards for October.

Inverness have marked a recent resurgence, with John Robertson seeing his side go six matches without conceding a goal.

The end of September saw a 0-0 draw at home to Queen of the South, before a draw at Falkirk, a 2-0 win at Dundee United, a 1-0 win at home to Dunfermline, and last Saturday a 0-0 draw at Dunfermline.

Also in that run, ICT dismantled League Two high-flyers Peterhead 3-0 in the Irn-Bru Cup, setting them up for this Saturday's tie against Falkirk in Inverness.

As well as plaudits for manager John Robertson, defender Carl Tremarco has been recognised for his contribution last month in winning the 'player of the month' award.

The Scouse stopper has played all but 21 minutes of Caley Thistle's six matches of shut-outs and has responded well to an injury setback towards the end of last season.

Tremarco - who at one point was ICT's leading goalscorer - was ruled out from April with a knee injury, but has returned back to his best.

Robertson said: "It's a huge boost to Carl to be part of that run, that fine defensive performance, and especially having come back into the side it's great for him as well"

"Any manager will tell you, whenever you receive these awards, that it's all about the players when you get these accolades, and it is. They've been at the heart of this six match run, and there have been a number of difficult away matches in that stretch as well"
