Hunt For Attempted Robber In Fraserburgh

Police are hunting a man after an attempted robbery in Fraserburgh.

The incident happened at the Saltoun Square Nickel & Dime store around 10:20am this morning.

A member of staff was threatened with a weapon, but escaped unhurt.

No cash or property was taken from the premises.

The suspect is described as in his late teens, between 5'8" and 5'10".

He was wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and a black baseball cap with a white motif.

Following the incident, it is believed he made off in the direction of the North Braehead area.

A police spokesperson said: "Police are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.

"Given the location and time of day, Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and may have information to come forward."
