Hillwalker Who Died After Ben Nevis Fall Named By Police
Police have named a hillwalker who died after falling near Ben Nevis as a 56 year old Aberdeenshire man.
A man who died in a hillwalking accident near Ben Nevis has been named.
56-year-old Steve Fogg, from the Aboyne area of Aberdeenshire, slipped and fell more than 600ft when he was walking with friends on Friday morning.
The incident happened on the Carn Mor Dearg Arete ridge near Fort William. Lochaber Mountain Rescue attended along with the Coastguard Helicopter.
He was airlifted to hospital in Fort William for treatment, but sadly died.
A report regarding the death will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
