Help required following train assault between Inverness and Tain

British Transport Police release CCTV image after woman assaulted on a train travelling between Inverness and Tain

British Transport Police has released a CCTV image of a man they believe he may be able to assist with enquiries after a woman was assaulted on a train travelling between the two stations on Wednesday, 11th November 2015.

The incident occurred on the 21:06 service and left the 36-year-old woman shaken.

The man in the photograph, who got off from the train at Alness, is described as being aged in his mid-late 30s, about 5’11” in height and of medium build. He was wearing a khaki coloured jacket and jeans.

Constable Matt O’neill, in charge of the enquiry, is appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the photograph to contact BTP as a matter of urgency.
